Rector's Decree
We express our gratitude to the Almighty God for His grace, enabling the page dedicated to Un SDGs of Warmadewa University. We have coined Sapta Bayu to reflect our activities and commitment towards the activities related to community and nature in tandem with UN SDGs activities. Allow me to give a brief of the ‘Sapta Bayu’, Sri Kesari Warmadewa is the first King of Bali Kingdom whom was responsible for this Sapta Bayu. Sri Kesari Warmadewa is said to have inherited the values of religious leadership, respect for diversity, wisdom, innovation, creativity, love of the environment, and independence and welfare of the people. Sri Kesari Warmadewa's ability to run government is formulated in the values of excellence called Sapta Bayu, as a spirit that serves as a guide for the academic community of Warmadewa University. This values outlined in the Sapta Bayu on further investigation reveals to be resonating with the SDGs outlined by UN, thus our choice to use the term for our university’s SDGs activity.
