Unit for Institutional Improvement and Capacity Building

Warmadewa University, grounded in its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and human rights, has established the Unit for Institutional Improvement and Capacity Building. This unit is tasked with advising on and implementing policies, programs, and training initiatives that align with these values on campus.

The university offers various training programs to support the growth and well-being of its staff, including:

  • Managing Stress for Well-being

    This training focuses on teaching staff techniques to effectively manage stress and improve their mental and physical health.

  • Optimizing Time and Productivity

    A course aimed at helping staff develop better time management strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity in their roles.

  • Achieving Personal and Professional Growth

    A program dedicated to guiding staff toward maximizing their potential in both personal and professional areas.

  • Essential Office Skills for Efficiency

    This training strengthens basic skills essential for office work, ensuring smoother daily operations.

Dr. Agus Darma Yoga Pratama is an esteemed academic and leader at Warmadewa University, currently serving as the Head of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Human Rights Unit. He plays a key role in advancing the university's commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment.

 

Educational Background:

  • 2003-2007: Bachelor of Arts (S1), English Literature, Universitas Udayana
  • 2007-2009: Master of Arts (S2), Linguistics, Universitas Udayana
  • 2012-2016: Doctorate (S3), Linguistics, Universitas Udayana

Dr. Agus's academic journey is deeply rooted in linguistics and English literature, which have shaped his understanding of cultural diversity and communication. His Ph.D. research focused on linguistic studies, equipping him with a profound understanding of the complexities of language, culture, and identity—an essential foundation for his current work in diversity and inclusion.

 

Leadership at Warmadewa University:

As the leader of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Human Rights Unit, Dr. Agus is responsible for spearheading various initiatives aimed at cultivating a supportive and inclusive academic community. Under his guidance, the unit has implemented key programs such as:

  • Diversity and Inclusion Workshops: Designed to educate staff and students on embracing diverse perspectives and promoting equity across the institution.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Helping the university community navigate cultural differences and foster greater inclusivity.
  • Human Rights Advocacy: Collaborating with local and international partners to advance human rights education and awareness through outreach programs.

In addition, we have established a confidential internal reporting system to safeguard the privacy of whistleblowers and address grievances related to employment matters. This mechanism allows staff to safely and securely report ethical concerns or instances of misconduct. By ensuring confidentiality and providing a safe avenue for individuals to raise concerns without fear of reprisal, the system underscores Warmadewa University’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and fairness.
