MKN PPs Unwad Study Program Holds International Community Service

The Notary Masters Study Program of the Warmadewa University Postgraduate Program held a community service by providing socialization to foreign tourists through a seminar with the theme "Land Control by Foreigners as a Place of Residence through an Agreement based on the Principle of Good Faith" at Pondok Mangga Harum Manis, Jl. Tukad Balian, Denpasar Thursday, (08/06/23). The event which brought in tourist participants who were members of the group of foreigners in Indonesia (OADI) invited Dr. Anak Agung Istri Agung, S.H., MKn. together with Dr. I Made Pria Dharsana, S.H. M.Hum., as resource persons.

Head of the International PKM Team MKN Unwar Dr. I Made Pria Dharsana, S.H. M.Hum said the purpose of holding this seminar was to provide knowledge and socialization to tourists about ownership of residential homes for foreigners as regulated in Article 69 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation Number 18 of 2021 concerning Management Rights, Land Rights, Apartment Units, and Land Registration (hereinafter referred to as PP 18/2021) which states whether or not foreigners are allowed to own land or apartments in Indonesia. He said this law was introduced to attract and provide a conducive investment climate for tourists or foreigners. Therefore, the acquisition of landed land and apartments must be regulated. This ownership can be due to a sale and purchase or agreement on the land. He also said that this activity was held to provide an understanding for tourists or foreigners to know the regulations and rules regarding land ownership that have been regulated in the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. "At least this can be used as initial knowledge for tourists who want to invest or want to live and have a place to live in Indonesia, especially in Bali, while minimizing cases from occurring in the future," he said. Meanwhile, the Head of the Unwar Notary Masters Study Program, Dr. I Nyoman Sujana, M.Hum, hopes that this international-standard activity will become a routine agenda for the study program. Given that the Unwar MKN Study Program has currently received Excellent Accreditation. Of course, the standards set for activities must also be in accordance with the milestones set by the institution and even exceed them. For this reason, his party is committed to maintaining the quality of the tri dharma that has been implemented. In addition, related to the community service program that was implemented this time, he said that this seminar was a form of MKN Unwar's concern for the phenomena that occurred in society. In particular, he saw that many foreigners have now opened businesses in Bali. Therefore, his party invites tourists to invest legally. "We are responding to this because it is a form of our concern and indeed a notary has the task of pouring out the wishes of the parties in a deed," he said.
