The Master of Management Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Warmadewa University held a Public Lecture with the theme "Business Strategy Facing the Era of Industrial Revolution 5.0" online/virtually via the zoom application on Tuesday, November 14, 2020. The event, which was officially opened by the Director of the Unwar Postgraduate Program, presented resource persons Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilham Sentosa from the University of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and was attended by all students of the Master of Management Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Unwar.
Head of the Master of Management Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Unwar Dr. Ida Bagus Udayana Putra, S.E., M.M. in his report said that the public lecture was none other than in order to anticipate the rapid development of technology. Especially related to the influence of technology on the world economy. According to him, there needs to be a plan/strategy in order to welcome the era of revolution 5.0.
In addition, he said that the webinar activity was attended by lecturers, alumni and students in the Master of Management study program, postgraduate program, Unwar. "Hopefully this can provide a small picture related to the strategies that must be faced in the future in order to welcome the rapid development of technology," he said. Director of the Unwar Postgraduate Program Dr. Dra. A.A Rai Sita Laksmi, M.Si in his speech said that currently humans have been in an era where the development of technology and information is growing rapidly or an era known as the Industrial Revolution 4.0. in this era there have been various changes including business actors utilizing technology and information systems optimally. According to him, this is also followed by changes in people's behavior that uses technology and information systems to obtain information and make transactions.
Furthermore, it was said that in line with the development of the industrial revolution 4.0, the industrial revolution 5.0 is also developing. which according to him will later have implications for people's behavior in the future. "We know that we are already facing the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, maybe in the near future we will face an era called the revolution 5.0 in this case as humans of course we must know, How is the trend of the industrial revolution 5.0 and what strategies are needed to face it. That's what is important to understand," he said. He hopes that by holding the Public Lecture, it can increase insight and provide an understanding of various business strategies in facing the development of the industrial revolution 5.0 in the future.
