Warmadewa University Through the Research Institute (LEMLIT) Warmadewa University held a National Seminar "Water Resources Management and Ecotourism-Based Area Development Towards a New Era of Bali" in the Sri Ksari Warmadewa Mandapa Unwar Meeting Room on Friday, December 13, 2019. The event was officially opened by the Chairperson of the Bali Province Korpri Welfare Foundation, and attended by the Chancellor of Warmadewa University, Vice Chancellor I, Vice Chancellor II, Secretary of the Postgraduate Program, Deans in Unwar, Head of LEMLIT, Head of SPI, lecturers and Structural Officials and participants who attended.

The Chairperson of the Organizing Committee Dr. Ir. I Gusti Agung Putu Eryani, M.T said that the theme of the Seminar was Water Resources Management and Ecotourism-Based Area Development Towards a New Era of Bali, according to him, water resources are integrated and integrated for justice and community welfare. Research from the Ministry of Environment in 2009 stated that Bali had experienced a water crisis or the availability of water was no longer sufficient according to its provisions. Therefore, the role of the community in maintaining the sustainability and cleanliness of water needs to be implemented. "Water is a source of life for living things, especially now that Indonesia is experiencing a water crisis according to research conducted by the Ministry of Environment, this is where the role of the community is to be able to participate in maintaining and preserving the water resources that we have," he explained in the report. Furthermore, it was said that the seminar was held to support water and soil conservation and support the program of the Governor of Bali Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali towards a New Era Bali and support the vision and mission of Unwar, namely quality, ecotourism insight and go global 2034.

Rector of Warmadewa University Prof.dr. Dewa Putu Widjana, DAP & E Sp.ParK said that water and the environment are a unity that is interrelated with each other. from the exploration of several treatises that water is a vital resource for human life. in addition, water is also the main determinant related to the destruction of an environment. Furthermore, it was said that clean water is a reflection of the prosperity of a life. "Therefore, the national seminar held this morning has a very important meaning for the sustainability of water resources and our lives. From all the data and facts that have occurred, it indicates that humans must be able to manage, maintain and preserve water which is already very limited, so that humans in this world will not lack clean water," he said. In addition, if water management can be improved, environmental damage can certainly be controlled and minimized.

Chairman of the Bali Province Korpri Welfare Foundation Dr. Drs A.A. Gede Oka Wisnumurti, M.Si said that the earth is mostly water. When viewed from a Hindu perspective in Bhuana Agung (World/universe) and Bhuana Alit (Human Body) the most dominant element is water. Therefore, the two elements between Bhuana Agung (World/universe) and Bhuana Alit (Human) must be balanced. Both are related, especially Humans who must always maintain and preserve existing water resources. According to him, as a living creature that has the advantage in terms of thinking, it should be able to learn from plants "where there are shady and fertile plants, there must be a source of clean flowing water" this should be followed by our society where the current population density should be able to maintain and protect existing water resources. The Head of the Foundation also said that the theme of the current seminar is very contextual with the vision of Warmadewa University
