DENPASAR – The Community Service Team of Warmadewa University (Unwar) Denpasar together with the Tukad Bindu Foundation and KPS held a workshop to prepare a master plan for the management of Tukad Bindu.
The activity was carried out on Wednesday (7/4/2021). "This master plan includes the determination of zones in the Tukad Bindu area in an effort to develop tourist destinations in the city center," said Team Leader Dr. Ir. I Gusti Agung Putu Eryani, MT. Other details of the activities are creating a virtual appearance of the entire area and activities in Tukad bindu with a 3600 camera, management of water potential (river water quality) with socialization of Eco Enzyme production. There is also an action of planting cempaka trees, eucalyptus, and sawo kecik which are BPDAS Unda Anyar nurseries as many as 30 trees. "We also provided donations in the form of subsidies for the installation of lighting, cleaning equipment and wash basins to be installed in the Tukad Bindu area," he said. The implementation of this community service activity also aims to increase the role of sincerity of the Tukad Bindu Foundation on the 4th Anniversary of the Tukad Bindu Foundation, as well as the implementation of partnership synergy with the Bali water rescue movement with the National Water Rescue Partnership Movement (GNKPA). Denpasar Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara in his speech read by the Head of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Cok Istri Mirahyani, SS. M.Si said that he appreciated the activity. "The activity is a form of environmental education towards sustainable development with an environmental perspective," he said. The mayor emphasized that the river is one of the sources of raw water for drinking water which is also a place of recreation, and for Balinese people it is included as a sacred area. "That is why it is necessary to carry out continuously, efforts to control pollution with various activities," he said.
