The Faculty of Letters, Warmadewa University, carried out Community Service with the theme "Improving Tourism Services through English Language Teaching and Cultural Understanding in Penglipuran Village, Bangli" in Penglipuran Village, Bangli, Sunday (11/05/2023) which aims to provide knowledge and invite children as the next generation in Penglipuran Village to start loving and mastering English.

In this service, the Chairperson of the Committee, Sani Damayanthi Muliawan S.S., M.Hum., said that this service was attended by 123 participants consisting of 99 students, 23 lecturers and 1 education staff. He said that this activity was carried out in two places, namely at SDN 2 Kubu and a clean-up action in the hero's monument area in order to welcome Heroes' Day on November 10, 2023. Furthermore, Jero Bendesa of Penglipuran Traditional Village who was also present at this activity welcomed the community service initiated by the English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Letters, Warmadewa University.

He hopes that through this PKM activity, it can become a media or place to share and can provide something useful for children in Penglipuran Village through English language training. He also expressed his gratitude and hopes that this activity is not just a ceremony but produces a value that can be obtained and is useful for all parties.

Dean of the Faculty of Letters, Warmadewa University, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Kardana, M.Hum., expressed his gratitude to SDN 2 Kubu and Penglipuran Traditional Village for giving permission to FS Unwar to be able to carry out one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Community Service. He hopes that the activities carried out by lecturers and students in a short time can provide benefits for elementary school children and pasraman to learn English.

In the future, these children will continue and maintain the sustainability of the famous tourist destination of Penglipuran Village. This is one of the foundations so that children can love, learn, and master English. In addition to carrying out community service, this activity also aims to invite FS Unwar students to find out more about the tourist destination of Penglipuran Village. Thus, students will be able to explore and increase their knowledge and experience to develop when they are involved in the world of tourism.
