Ni Made Wahyuni as a lecturer at Warmadewa University said that human resources are needed in developing the competitiveness of natural resources in village forest ecotourism. Galungan Village is a village in Sawan District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, Indonesia, located at an altitude of 1000m above sea level with natural resource potential in the form of mountains and beautiful natural scenery, cool air, jogging tracking, tours to waterfalls, rivers and hundreds of old trees hundreds of years old that are worthy of being preserved. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 629 / MenHut-II / 2010 and the Decree of the Governor of Bali Number 2017/03-L / HK.2015 concerning the granting of village forest management rights to Village Institutions in Buleleng Regency, and in accordance with Galungan Village Regulation Number 05 of 2011 concerning Galungan Village-Owned Business Entities, the management of the village forest work area is carried out by BUMDes.
The potential of Galungan Village ecotourism is vast and beneficial for the community to alleviate poverty and improve welfare, but the management of village forests by BUMDes has not been well organized and has weaknesses, namely low intentions, attitudes, and behavior of organizational competitiveness. The program aims to: 1) integrate natural resources and village human resources with the application of behavioral attitudes that reflect an entrepreneurial spirit so that industrial competitiveness is created; 2) apply management science to strengthen BUMDes institutions in managing village forest ecotourism; 3) for changes in the attitudes of the community in the village forest environment and BUMDes managers in managing village forest ecotourism by using the outreach method of socialization, norms, attitudes, and training for BUMDes management.
This community service is a downstream research that has been carried out previously related to small and medium business entrepreneurship. The results of this community service show changes in attitudes, abilities and skills of BUMDes managers related to assets, namely village forests in terms of HR management, financial management, operational management, and personal skills. The implementation of this training was able to strengthen the intentions and management activities of the forest ecotourism Rural-owned enterprises in Galungan Village in using their inner/spiritual.
