FH Unwar Begins Implementing MBKM Program; 315 Law Students Participate in PKH in Legal Industry/Institutions

Implementing the 2022 Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) program, the Faculty of Law, Warmadewa University (FH Unwar) has sent its students to various industries and legal institutions to take part in legal proficiency practice (PKH). A total of 315 4th semester law students who were sent were released and given briefings, Saturday (12/3) at the local campus.

Dean of FH Unwar, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Putu Budiartha, SH., MH., said that for the first time, FH Unwar students were sent directly to take part in PKH in order to implement the MBKM program. The students who were sent will take lectures outside the campus, namely in the industry/legal institution with which they had previously collaborated. These Law students will be spread out and rotated to the industry/legal institution to take part in PKH for 4 months by taking 10 courses (20 credits). The legal industry/institutions that have been invited to collaborate are the District Court, Religious Court, State Administrative Court (TUN), Prosecutor's Office, Lawyer's Office, and Notary.

Prof. Budiartha, explained that the purpose of the MBKM program is a disruptive change from a normal order to an abnormal one in a situation that currently wants to change quickly to adapt to the situation. Thus, science and technology must also adapt to the surrounding conditions or even the state of the world. Therefore, as early as possible, students are adapted to the work environment so that later they will gain the competence to be able to compete faster with other universities or alumni. "The point is how quickly he can adapt, innovate to gain his competence, namely being accepted in the world of work or even opening up job opportunities," said Prof. Budiartha

Furthermore, it was said that not only in the legal industry/institutions, but law students were also directed to take the MBKM program at other campuses. Such as at Mahasaraswati University Denpasar, Dwijendra University Denpasar, and Ngurah Rai University Denpasar. In fact, law students can also take the MBKM program on campus, but in a different study program.

Through this MBKM program, FH Unwar law students are expected to be able to adapt and innovate. Thus, the quality and competence of graduates are increasingly competitive. Thus, the public's trust in sending their children to FH Unwar is increasing. Because, what has been done is in accordance with very good planning.
